I've been seeing lots of pins lately on Pinterest about the natural wonder that is coconut oil.
After hearing Maskcara (one of my fave beauty bloggers) discuss how you could replace so many items in your beauty routine with this one amazing ingredient, I decided it was worth investigating. Plus it's inexpensive.
So HOW can you use coconut oil you ask?
• Use it as a serum to give your hair a shine! *More on this later...
• MOISTURIZE your skin! Apply right out of the shower on damp skin and this will give your expensive lotion a run for it's money.
• Makeup remover... chemical free!
• Cook/bake with it!
• Furniture polish
Don't you love an all-in-one product?! Thank you Pinterest... again.
*Update:
I personally loved how silky soft my skin felt using this as a moisturizer. But don't make the same mistake I did as far as hair goes. I think it's great to use as a serum, but I slathered it on as a conditioner. Womp womp! Even after shampooing it out once, I have slick/greasy hair today I had to throw in a pony-tail. I'm sure it'll be ultra-conditioned, but I don't feel exactly presentable for work today.
